Recorders

My First and Second Tudor Consort Books and Consorts for 5 Books 1 and 2 are available for recorders.  Colin Touchin, Founder of the National Youth Recorder Orchestra, says: “My First Tudor Consort Book is an excellent publication in every way!” and Brenda Welch, who teaches for the University of the Third Age, also comments: “It’s perfect – adult music that beginners can master as a change from beginners music aimed at children.  Long may it stay in print, so that I can buy more copies as we need them!”

Celtic Gold Book 1, arranged by Jacqui Robertson-Wade and transcribed for recorders by Alison Kinder, gives recorder players an opportunity to play folk music in 6 parts, with haunting melodies and interesting bass lines!  (You can tell this music has been arranged by a cellist!). Contemporary music features in Rondo’s catalogue with Alan Davis’ works for recorders and viols (or violin family) Enlightened – an easy but highly effective piece to play, (commissioned by Birmingham Music Service).
